Sardegna in 10 Instagram Pics
The only thing I’ve done since leaving Sardegna is think about how I’m going to get back there!
This beautiful island region of Italy has it all. A rich culture and history, unique cuisine and stunning coastline that on just about every corner, rivals Caribbean waters… And their own language – not dialect, but language! – to boot! The region and its people are beyond fascinating to me and I want to continue to explore it a lot further.
Having in the past, spent most of my time in the northern part of the region (Alghero and Costa Smeralda / Porto Cervo and Baia di Sardegna), this time it was the south on my agenda – Villasimius to be precise, located about an hours drive from Cagliari.
Here’s an Instagram pic wrap up of my time there:
While beaches aren’t hard to come by in Sardegna, I never say ‘no’, to a resort pool swim.
Lounging around in one these at the Pullman Timi Ama resort will have you feel a little special!
Just wouldn’t seem like summer without a daily dose of freshly barbecued seafood like these lobster legs.
These delicious parcels of fresh Sardinian pasta are filled with potato purée and usually served with a tomato sauce.
Locally fished scampi – just the perfect summer lunch.
One of Villasimius’ most stunning beaches in my opinion. Located a short 15 minute drive from the town center, you won’t believe your eyes when you see these waters.
Timi Ama – Private Beach
Having a private beach that looks like this is reason enough to choose the Pullman Timi Ama resort.
View from Cala Sinzias
Another Villasimius local beach favorite, Cala Sinzias has plenty of free beach space as well as many beach clubs including Is Fradis which has a cute seafood restaurant, sun beds and cabana huts.
