My life and times in the eternal city and beyond

Formentera Fun & Food

I spent my ferragosto – the week in Italy, and many parts of Europe, that coincides with the religious holiday of 15 August – with my sister and dear friends in Formentera, Spain.

One of the Balearic Islands, Formentera is the tranquil cousin island of party-central Ibiza.

While it still packs a real punch if nightlife is your thing, it’s predominantly a haven of hippy markets and shops, quaint towns and sparkling blue Caribbean-like waters.

But Formentera can also hang its hat on cuisine – from local to international to fusion, the island really has something for everyone. I had some fantastic meals while there and I wanted to share these pics with you.
