An August of Italian Islands

I just got back from two amazing weeks in Greece and Turkey. I had been to both before but it’s always great going back to a destination years later and having new experiences. In Turkey our group did a Turkish Gulet (traditional wooden boat) cruise around the Aegean coast from Fethiye, spent a weekend in Bodrum and then 4 days in Istanbul. You would have read my Santorini tales and I promise I will write about our amazing Turkish experience soon…

But now I’ve gotta run!

My family from Australia are travelling around Europe this year and it would be remiss of me not to join in on the fun!

So tomorrow a new adventure begins… If you need me over the next four weeks, I’ll be beaching, tanning and cruising various islands of southern Italy (oh and a few days in Malta to close!).

Here’s where I’ll be:

Beautiful Abruzzo for 5 days
Vieste and Isole Tremiti in Puglia for 4 days
Tropea in Calabria for 5 days
Lipari and the Aeolian Islands in Sicily for 5 days
Trapani and the Aegadian Islands in Sicily for 4 days
Malta for 4 days

;

Again, i promise to fill you in on all my capers as soon as I can!

Happy summer holidays to everyone on the northern continent… For those of you in the south… what can I say? Stay warm!

Signing off from Rome,

Baci Maria
