Quick apologies for the blogging hiatus!
I’ve been busy becoming an aunty while back in my home city of Melbourne (it’s really busy becoming one and being one!)
And not to mention working, enjoying an Australian summer at our family beach house on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, mini-break-ing in Queensland, catching up with family and friends for dinner, lunch, coffee, brunch, drinks, you name it!
It’s been a whirlwind, frenetic, emotional and beautiful time.
Let’s just say it’s been a fabulous summer all round!
It’s going to be really hard to leave but my life in Rome calls. It’s a strange sense kind of living two lives. But it’s working for me at the moment and so it continues!
Now it’s widely known that I heart Rome but I heart Melbourne too!
Melbourne is renowned locally and internationally for its food and wine. Some of the worlds best chefs and a melting pot of cultures make for a long list of places you don’t want to miss when you’re in town.
It’s funny how most Melburniuns struggle to respond when asked what to see or do in the city. When https://nexiumreviews.com foreigners ask me I simply reply that we may not have big monuments or a so called Sydney Harbour to hang our hat on. But we’ve got something very special in Melbourne. Great food, wine, coffee and shopping. We’re the sports capital of Australia. We have so many still to be discovered laneways and awesome rooftop bars. We’re cultured, artsy, alternative, stylish & classy all at once.
I recently likened it to Berlin (big call I know!) – because of the fact that you may not be able to pinpoint why it’s cool, but it just is!
I’ve been away from Rome and its amazing food for about 7 weeks but needless to say, I haven’t gone hungry!
