I’ve said it before. I’ll say it again.
Nobody ever said living in two countries would be easy.
It’s by no stretch, the worst thing that could happen to you either!
As I prepare to fly out of the city I was born and bred in, I can’t help but feel sad. Like for many of us, family is important to me. I come from a close-knit Italian family and leaving them behind is hard, especially as our little group expands with two most beautiful nephews. I miss my family and friends so much when I’m in Rome. And when I’m in Melbourne I miss Rome!
So, I’m also looking forward to being back in Rome and getting back to my roman life.
Admittedly this departure doesn’t seem as bad – because I’m taking a piece of home with me (I can’t believe I didn’t think of this earlier in the piece!). Mamma HeartRome is coming back with me for a short holiday and this makes me happy.
So on that note, here are some of my Oz summer snapshots.
Melbourne, my home, my family, my friends. Until next time. I love you.
